Spun Glass Owls Pair Bird Figurines Vintage 1960s
This pair of spun glass owl figurines are old owls. They were made in the 1960-1970 era but are not signed.
Spun glass animal figurines used to be sold in crystal shops and engraving shops in shopping malls; back when mom and pop stores and smaller chain stores like this were in malls. Today, I think they have all disappeared.
The tall slender owl is a graceful gal with wings spread back standing on a three-footed design. This owl is clear glass with gold accents on the pulls (or points) and black enamel eyes.
The fat owl with big hooter eyes is clear and yellow glass with orange accents on the pulls. The base is a five footed design and the eyes seem to be some sort of plastic or paper glued on.
The tall owl is 2 1/4" or 57 mm tall and the fat hoot owl is 2" or 51 mm tall. Both owls haven't been out of my curio in over 30 years. They are both in pristine clean perfect condition with no imperfections or flaws. There are no broken tips, cracks, or chips.
Note: I typically don't take the time to list inexpensive novelty items on my website but old spun glass animals are very hard to find in perfect condition. I've had the pleasure of seeing them in my curio for a long time, and its now time for me to pass them along!
