Sterling Silver Earrings Rose Buds 1940s Jewelry
Made in the 1940s, these rose bud earrings were a very popular design back then. Many ladies owned this design and the rose bud design is not easy to find today. Most silver rose bud earrings were loved and worn until they could be worn no more; not many survived.
The earrings are screw backs and they are heavy sterling silver plate over copper. During the war years, many jewelry designers resorted to using sterling over copper, as sterling silver was a precious commodity.
Medium in size, the rose buds are 3/4" or 20 mm wide.
The pair is in pristine clean condition with no imperfections or flaws. There are no scratches, scuffs, or dings and the screw backs are in proper working order. The sterling silver plate has some light wear if examined very closely. The earrings are not signed.
Comes gift wrapped and shipped in new presentation earring box.
