Walnut Wood Vintage Cufflinks 1950s Mens Jewelry
Made in the 1950s, these vintage cufflinks are carved wood buttons made of Walnut. In the mid to late 19th century and the first half of the 20th century, walnut was a favorite type of wood for all kinds of goods like furniture, household goods, and jewelry. Due to the scarcity of walnut trees today, vintage items made from walnut are highly prized.
The wood has excellent grain and color and the buttons are set in silver rhodium loop style frames. The cufflinks are not signed, with the exception of the words Pat. Pend, but were assuredly made in the USA.
Medium petite in size, the wood buttons are 3/4" or 18 mm wide.
Both cufflinks are in pristine clean like new condition and have never been worn. There wood is in excellent condition with no scratches or loss of natural sheen. There is no silver metal wear or loss of silver.
Comes gift wrapped and shipped in a new luxury presentation cufflink box as pictured.
