Made in the northwest Appalachian region of North Carolina, this midi sized buttocks basket dates from the 1970-1980 era. It could be 1960s but I'm being conservative. It has been in my basket collection since the mid 1980s.

The basket is ash splint with admirable natural and light teal canes. The canes are strong at about 1/4" wide. Of course the basket has the Appalachian style woven God's Eyes on each end. I love the way this basket fits in my hand. When you grab it, one side of the buttocks fits perfectly in your palm. It is also perfectly shaped and woven. It has nice posture any way you want to sit it. Maybe its just me. I love buttock baskets!

The basket has not been cleaned in any way and has been stashed away in my collection for over 3 decades. It is in exceptional pristine clean like new condition with no imperfections or flaws. It measures 5 1/2" tall with handle. The basket portion is 6" long x 3 3/4"
