Art Deco Japanese Porcelain Chintz Serving Tray Hand Painted 1930s Vintage #15330
Made in the 1930s, this Japanese hand painted porcelain serving tray was originally made for serving food items like nuts, cookies, or candies.
This dish has never been used so the hand painted florals are in perfect like new condition. All of the flowers and leaves are trimmed in gold and there are many different types of flowers in pink, orange and black, and blue.
I cant imagine the time it took to paint this piece as the flowers are very intricate and the pattern covers the entire tray. The rim is scalloped and the four recessed sections are paisley shapes.
The sturdy large handle at the center is brass. Large in size, the tray is 8 1/2' wide x 5" tall. The bottom is signed with an unknown Japanese makers mark. The entire tray is in pristine perfect condition with no imperfections or signs of wear. There are no chips, scratches, cracks, or repairs.
