Antique Honey Satin Glass Demitasse Cup Blown Bubbles Tumbler #16662
An antique cup like this is very hard to find. This cup has been untouched in one of my glass curio cabinets for over 40 years. This antique satin glass demitasse cup or tumbler was made in the late 1800s or very early 1900s.
The cup is double walled glass with blown elipitcal bubble glass in honey gold on the exterior and white cased glass on the interior. The top of the cup is straight cut and not ground down, beveled, or altered from the way the glass maker made it.
If you look at the photos you might think there are a couple of flakes or chips on the rim but this is simply how the glass was cut when it was made. The cup is not signed but I believe it was made in Venice, Italy. Satin bubble glass is very rare to find.
Medium petite in size, the cup is 3 3/4" tall x 2 5/8" wide or 95 mm x 67 mm. The entire cup both inside and out is in pristine clean like new condition with no imperfections or flaws. There are no chips, scratches, scuffs, or cracks.
