Antique Tea Cup Demitasse German Luster Glaze Roses #16471

US$30.00
Item number: 16471

This unique antique German porcelain tea cup was made in the late 1800s or early 1900s. The tea cup is a unique tall design with molded arches and beads around the top. The bottom of the tea cup is scalloped. The print design of deep pink roses and light pink rose petals is accented with mint gray/green around the top in a pearlescent luster glaze.

The cup is 31/4" tall x 2 3/8" wide without the handle at the top or 82 mm x 60 mm. The bottom of the cup is stamped in red ink Made in Germany.

This tea cup has been untouched in one of my glass curio cabinets for over 30 years. The entire cup is in pristine clean condition with no paint or luster wear. There are no chips or cracks on the top or bottom rim; only some light roughness around the bottom edge from sitting in place.

On the handle, at the top, there is a very small and rather unnoticeable tiny hair line that is shallow and only on the outside surface of the handle. It does not harm the integrity of the handle. Cups this old and of this style are very difficult to find and a few minor imperfections show be expected.
