This exceptional Kutani smudge pot vase was made in 1934 and is called a smudge pot vase as it was intended to be used for sage or other natural burning incense and healing applications. This vase is a Geisha motif with heavy moriage in yellow and orange with 22kt gold accents.
The vase is 5” tall x 2 ¾” wide. It has been kept in a hutch cabinet and never used. The entire vase is in pristine clean like new condition with no imperfections or flaws. There are no scratches, chips, cracks, worn paint or repairs. The bottom is signed Made in Japan.
