1930s-1940s Arts and Crafts Vintage Treasure Box Marbled Resin #14894

This very uncommon handmade dresser box was made in the 1930s or 1940s. It is a very unique and unusual box made of "Bakelite type" high gloss resin in marbled or striated cinnamon brown, orange, yellow, and black.

I have tested this piece with Simichrome and while it might be Bakelite, it does not test positive. 

This is a box I have kept stashed away for many decades as I have never seen another one like it. It is exceptionally clean and has been well cared for There are no imperfections, flaws, or signs of wear. *The lid does not sit perfectly flat on the box.

Unsigned, it measures 5 1/2" long x 3 1/4" wide x 4" tall, or 14 cm x 8.3 cm x 10 cm.
