1950s Juliana Style Opal Crystal Vintage Bracelet #16712
This elegant bracelet is a very uncommon open work design from the 1950s. The bracelet is not signed but it was made by either Delizza and Elster or Schreiner.
Made of gold plated metal, the bracelet is a repeating pattern of faceted marquise black glass leaves framed by white moonstone glass beads. The moonstone glass is clear with white canes, lending the look of Opals, or commonly called Opalescent glass.
What throws me off about who made this bracelet is the style of the fold over box clasp (with 3 raised dots on the top) and the shape of the ring clasp. We all know D&E made jewelry for a long list of US designers but I've never seen this sort of clasp used. The clasp pushes me to lean more towards Schreiner but it could also be Delizza and Elster.
The bracelet is an uncommon wide design and all of the cabs are prong set. When clasped, the bracelet is 7 1/2" long x 1 1/4" wide or 190 mm x 32 mm.
The entire bracelet has been very well cared for and all of the cabs are original and present and in flawless condition with no scratches, scuffs, chips, or cracks. The gold plating on the top, the sides, and the clasp is not worn and looks like new. The back has light to moderate gold wear. The clasp is in perfect working order.
Comes gift wrapped and shipped in a new luxury presentation bracelet box.
