Copper Necklace Bracelet Earrings RARE Parure 1950s Vintage Jewelry #13212
From the Retro Modern or Mid-Century Modern period of the 1940's -1950's, this solid copper necklace, bracelet, and earrings parure is very unique.
The hand fabricated copper rose flower swirls are an unusual motif. The set is not signed and it may have been made by Morley Crimi or it may have also been made in Germany. All pieces are genuine solid copper, copper that was undoubtedly mined in Germany, which Crimi used as well.
The necklace has 7 swirls total and can be hooked up to 16 " long. If you need to make the necklace a little bit longer, you can add a copper extension chain to the right.
The bracelet has 7 large swirls and is 7 3/4" long x 1 3/8" wide. The earrings are screw backs and the swirls are 7/8" wide.
The layered and tiered rose swirls are large on the bracelet and medium in size on the necklace and earrings. The swirls on the necklace and earrings are about 7/8" wide while the links on the bracelet are 1 3/8" wide x 1" from side to side.
This parure has been professionally cleaned and polished for you. The copper on the necklace and earrings is in excellent condition with no damage like dings or scratches. There is some very fine and minor light wear from handling on front of the bracelet, around the outer edges where the copper is smooth. The backs of all pieces retain the original old copper patina. Im certain this parure has rarely been worn because there is no wear at all on insides of the clasps or on the screw backs. To a collector, the copper is in very fine condition as there is no damage from moisture that causes verdigris or blackening.
Once a year, the best way to care for this set is to lightly polish it with MAAS cleaner, rinse with wate,r and dry thoroughly with a hair dryer. Store in an airtight bag. The copper will stay bright and clean as long as it is not exposed to open air and moisture.
