Agate Necklace Amethyst Carnelian Amber 1970s Jewelry #15976
Bold, chunky, gemstone and agate necklace styles were popular in the 1970s when this necklace was made, and they have come back in style today.
I admire about this gemstone and agate necklace for the unique combination of crisp colors, as well has the very large tumbled Amethyst gem at the focal point. Also notice the long elliptical moss green agates along the sides.
The oval beads that may appear white looking are light blue/green Ocean Jasper. The chunky beads that may appear white looking are Blue Lace Agates. The yellow gold chunky transparent beads are Baltic Amber. There are also beads of Chalcedony, Black Moss Agates, Poppy Jasper, Light Blue Agates, and more. The necklace is all agates and gemstones, including the disc spacer beads.
The necklace is strong: strung on stainless steel wire and adorned with a few sterling silver rounds at the ends of the strands. The necklace has a bold chunky look but it is not heavy to wear. With the extension chain, the necklace can be hooked between 21" to 24" long or 53 cm to 61 cm. The large Amethyst bead and the moss green elliptical agates are all about 1 3/8" or 35 mm long.
I have owned this necklace since the 1970s and it has never been worn. It is in pristine clean like new condition with no imperfections or flaws. All of the bead are perfect with no scratches, chips, or cracks.
Comes gift wrapped and shipped in a new luxury presentation necklace box.
