Cameo Pin Intaglio Crystal Brooch 1950s German Vintage Jewelry

I strongly admire old German lead crystal cameo pins for several reasons.

Clear crystal cameos are eloquent and remind me of the days when any kind of German crystal was at top of every womans wish list. The Victorian lady intaglio is also not flamboyant, with a pulled back hair style and a feminine profile. I also admire clear crystal cameos because you can easily see the beveled trim on both the top and the bottom edges. Also, whatever color fabric is behind the brooch will reflect through the crystal.

This cameo is a nice weighty piece and is framed in smooth silver metal. The crystal is about 1/4" thick. The brooch measures 1 5/8" tall x 1 1/2" wide, has the original fine working safety clasp, and is not signed.

The cameo is in excellent condition all around and has been very well cared for. The entire pin is clean and clear, and there is no silver loss to the metal areas. There are no chips or scratches, or other imperfections to the naked eye. If you look at the face of the crystal under high magnification, you may be able to detect some tiny and faint light surface scratches, hardly worth noting.
