Horse Pin Carved Wood Western Brooch 1950s Jewelry #12978

This vintage 1950s big horse pin has unique dangling riders boot charms.

The horse and boots were carved from dark reddish brown wood that is either cherry or mahogany. The horse has a yellow glass eye with a black center and the studs on the reigns have faded yellow paint.

This is a large brooch as the horse is 2 1/2" long. The brooch is 2 1/2" tall and the boots are 1" tall. You can get a better indication of the size of the brooch by looking at the photo of the horse in my hand.

The boots are connected with sturdy and clean brass jump rings and the brooch has the original fine working C Clasp. The wood is in excellent clean condition with no imperfections like scratches or scuffs, and no chips or cracks. The wood is not dried out and has a nice sheen.
