Gold Horse Brass Bridal Ring Brooch 1950s Vintage Jewelry #12936

This is a very unique horse pin!

The brass horses are depicted in profiles with bridal reigns hanging. This is one of my favorite styles of old horse pins, attached to a brass bridal ring. In other words, the ring is an actual horse bridal ring. An old brass ring from the reigns or from an old leather halter, way back when the rings used to be brass.

The horses and the ring are finished in satin gold paint. As one horse is stacked in front of the other, the brooch has a neat 3D look.

The brooch is a nice medium-large size at 1 7/8" wide. It is in good condition with minor signs of metal wear from age. The pin has obviously been loved and worn and the metal is aged like all brass horse pins do. The entire pin, both font and back, is perfectly clean. The original fine working safety clasp is in place and the pin is not signed.
