Majolica Porcelain Vintage Jewelry Box #15525

I admire vintage Majolica style wares, especially when a marine theme is incorporated, such as this sea urchin style lidded bowl, compote, or trinket box.

This box is not new and I've had it for 3 or 4 decades but it has never been used and is in pristine like new perfect condition. The body of the porcelain sea urchin box is beaded and glazed in white. The lid has large Majolica flowers and leaves in yellow, deep pink, coral, yellow, and green.

The box is not signed but I believe it was made in Italy. Medium large in size, the box is 4 " tall x 4 1/8" wide or 102 mm x 110 mm. You can get a better indication of the size by viewing the photo of the box in my hand.

The box is microscopically clean and there are no chips, cracks, scratches, or other imperfections. The interior is perfectly clean as well. On one leaf, the tip looks like the green paint is worn but it is just how the leaves were painted.
