This vintage turtle basket is extremely unique. Ive searched the internet a very long time and have never seen another one like it. It was made in Guatemala in the late 1970s or early 1980s. It's made of long pine needles and dyed rainbow straw or raffia. The basket is footed and has upwards turned edges that makes it sit in a bowl shape.

The entire basket is in excellent clean like new condition with no imperfections or flaws. The raffia is still brightly colored and is not faded. Ive owned this basket since it was new and bought it in Guatemala. It's been stored away protected from light and the elements for over 4 decades. the basket is about 9 1/2" long x 8" wide.
