This vintage Limoges porcelain trinket box or small jewelry box is signed Castel Limoges with the crown mark. Castel Limoges made porcelain wares in Limoge France from 1955 to 1979.

The box is round and squatty and the lid and base are trimmed in 22kt gold. The floral decor on the lid features hand painted orchids with with leaves. Medium in size, the box is 3" or 76 mm wide.

This box is in pristine clean condition. It has been very well cared for and there are only minor hints of age under serious close inspection. There is a very tiny flea bite on the inside rim of the base and on the underside of the lid. The lid has a tiny light scratch in the white area that is hardly worth noting. There is no visible gold or paint wear.
