This sea shell necklace with big sea shell flower earrings is a very unique old set. The necklace and earrings were made in Japan in the 1955-1965 era and this design, both necklace and earrings, are very hard to find today.

The clip earrings feature long and slender Mother of Pearl shells in pearlescent white and rose pink. The earrings are clips and this large floral design is 1 1/2" or 3.8 cm wide. The brass clips on the back are in perfect working order but they do have some metal discoloration from age.

The necklace is five fabulous strands of tumbled and polished nugget shells in rose pink and pearly white. The grey-green tumbled nuggets are agates. Each and every shell and agate is spaced with glistening gold foil clear tube beads, which prevents the shells from rubbing and adds terrific sparkle to the whole design.

The shortest strand is 16" or 40 cm long and the longest strand is 22 1/2" or 56 cm long. The shortest strand cannot be made longer so please be certain 16" is good for you.

The necklace is not heavy to wear. The necklace has a fine working round insert box clasp with shells and glass beads sewn and glued to the clasp. The necklace and earrings are in pristine clean condition, and all of the shells, agates, and glass beads look like new. There is no damage or signs of wear and the necklace and earring stringing cords are in strong clean condition. The necklace clasp and both earrings are signed Japan.
