This impeccably well-made butterfly pin is an antique Art Nouveau reproduction design.

The butterfly is an open work design in sterling silver and is signed 925. Countless faceted Marcasites are inset all over the body, wings, and antennae. I have owned this brooch since the early 1980s when it was new.

Medium in size, the butterfly is 1 3/8" tall x 1 1/2" wide or 35 mm x 37 mm. You can get a better indication of the size by viewing the photo of the butterfly in my hand. The entire brooch is in super pristine clean like new condition with no imperfections or flaws. All of the Marcasites are original and present with no damage or flaws. The sterling has an antique patina, as it was made.
