Made in the 1940-1950 era, these fine jewelry button style screw back earrings were one of the most popular fine jewelry earring styles from that era. I don't know any woman who didnt own a pair of these, which ironically, is the exact reason why finding these earrings in excellent condition today is a difficult task; but this pair is in exceptional condition.

These earrings are not signed but they are 14kt gold filled. They test positive for 14kt but the solder work on the back leads me to believe they are gold filled and not solid gold. I could be wrong. They could be solid 14kt gold but Im not going to cut into the metal to find out.

The black Onyx cabs are expertly polished and at the center are rough cut diamonds with star facets. These are old yellow tint diamonds that do not have sharp facets or high-quality brilliance like newer diamonds. The onyx cabs are framed in 14 kt GF saw tooth bezels and surrounded in round twisted 14kt GF gold frames.

Petite in size, these screw back earrings are about 3/4" or 18 mm wide. The pair is in pristine clean like new condition with no imperfections or flaws. There are no scratches or dings to the Onyx or gold and no gold wear or loss of gold. (The gold that is on the back of the cabs has some tiny, darkened spots from soldering.)

Comes gift wrapped and shipped in a new luxury presentation earring box.
