I truly admire this old flower pin because it is a very unique design that was made by quality metalsmiths in Germany shortly after WWII. The brooch is not signed but the fine German craftsmanship is distinguishable to the trained eye. This type of brooch is called Post-War brooch. 

The 3-tier stacked flower is an old stamped brass setting with a gold finish. The large flower design in the background is polished gold and the flower on top is a soft satin gold. At the center is a cut steel stainless steel flower which was fashioned to look like Marcasites. 

The brooch is 2 3/4" long x 1 3/4" wide, or 7 cm x 4.3 cm. It is in spectacular clean condition with no imperfections like dings or scratches. There is no gold wear or loss of gold. Only a hint of metal patina can be detected with a loupe in tiny spots. The back has the original fine working safety clasp and stainless steel bar pin.
