This 1940s Christmas angel pin is truly a rare old beauty. It is very uncommon to find old pot metal angels like this that are large in size. The angel is silver pot metal painted with flat black enamel. The wings, harp, hair, and the ribbon around the waist are textured gold gilt over silver pot metal. The back is finished in gold as well. 
 
This adorable cherub is about 2 1/2" tall x 1 7/8" wide. The black enamel is in great condition. There is some very light rather unnoticeable wear to the gold finished areas. The back of the brooch has a new replacement C Clasp as this pin was originally a fur or dress clip. The pin is not signed but it is very heavy and well made. The entire piece is very nice and clean all around.
