This shabby chic hand painted orchid plate with painted silver metal loop frame has been in my curio cabinet for close to 40 years. It was made in the 1940s. I don't know where the plate was made as the back of the plate is simply imprinted Hand Painted. This is such a unusual piece as the looping metal frame is a cool vintage design. 

The plate is 5 1/4" or 133 mm wide. With the metal frame it's about 9" or 225 mm wide. Both plate and frame are in pristine clean like new condition with no imperfections or flaws. The plate does not have any chips, cracks, scratches, or loss of paint. The wire frames is perfect as well with no silver paint loss.
