In the 1950's, Ubangi Ethnic style jewelry was made popular by US jewelry designers such as Frank Rebajes and the style stayed popular through the 1970s.

This unique Ubangi face mask brooch is made of thick and rich satin gold metal and features slits for eyes and elongated ear lobes with ribbed ball bead earrings. The "necklace design" is made of ribbed gold metal ball beads as well.

Unsigned, this well crafted ethnic pin is a prominent presentation piece and is medium large in size at 2 3/4" tall x 1 3/4" wide or 70 mm x 45 mm. The ball beads are 9 mm. You can get a better indication of the size of the brooch by viewing the photo of the brooch in my hand.

The entire brooch is in exceptional like new condition and is microscopically clean all around. There is no gold wear or loss of gold and there are no dings or dents. All of the ball beads are perfect was well. On the face, there are a couple of very microscopic tiny light scratches that are very difficult to see with the naked eye and are hardly worth noting. The back of the pin is finished in textured satin gold and the original fine working safety clasp is in place.

Comes gift wrapped and shipped in a new presentation jewelry box.

* You can add a gold metal brooch slider to convert this pin to a pendant by checking the option box.
