Made in the 1960 era, these pearl flower clip earrings are a very unique frilly flower design. The stacked and layered pearls are actual petal shaped pearls. The flower mounds are adorned with clear Austrian crystal head pins. These old world crystals have superb diamond like brilliance! The crystals are prong set in silver metal bezels and wired into the design. 

The pearls that form the flower mounds are very unique. In the 1960s, Japan experimented with a wide variety of plastic pearl shapes; everything from hearts to crosses to palm trees and animals. These pearl beads are tear drop shapes or puffed, baroque, or pillowed. The shape is hard to describe as it doesn't actually have a name. 

Medium petite in size, the earrings are 1" or 26 mm wide. The backs and the clips are silver rhodium metal. The pair is in pristine clean like new condition with no imperfections or flaws. All of the crystals are original, present, and super sparkling. The pearls are clean and lustrous with no signs of wear. The silver metal rhodium bezels that hold the crystals have a darkened patina from age. The clips are like new and in perfect working order. The earrings are not signed.
