This is a very old Coro signed flower pin. It is signed Coro in script without copyright and although I cannot find the patent on this pin, I know it was made between 1951 and 1954. I've had this pin safety tucked away for many decades and many years ago this pin was relatively easy to find but I've not seen one listed for sale online for many years. It was not a mass produced design. This unique gold lace design is one preferred by Coro collectors. The thick yellow gold-plated finish is a very durable. It is a Coro process that is similar to a process developed by Trifari called Trifanium. This layered and stacked lace flower is accented with diamond grey/clear rhinestones on the petals and a cluster design at the center. The large rhinestone at the center has a diamond grey tint as well. The brooch is medium large in size at 2" wide or 5 cm. Front and back this pin is in pristine clean condition. There are no scratches or scuffs on the metal and all of the rhinestones are original, present, and sparkling. The back has the Coro script signature and the original fine working safety clasp. Note : If you look at the tips of the petals with a loupe, you can detect some scant, very tiny and light microscopic scratches from handling.Comes gift wrapped and shipped in a new presentation jewelry box.
