Typically, when one finds a pair of vintage Jadeite cufflinks, the Jadeite is not good quality and is pea soup green in color. These oval and domed Jadeite specimens are alive and glowing. This Jadeite is creme de mente green, semi-translucent, and the gems are prong set. These cufflinks are not designer signed and I don't believe this design was mass produced. I believe they were custom made by a jeweler, based on the quality of the Jadeite and the unique back-end riveted construction. The fine construction indicates they were made in the 1950-1960 era. The diamond shaped frames are fine quality gold plate, with the background finely etched in a diagonal lines. A flare of polished gold metal sweeps across the ends. The cufflinks are medium in size at 1 1/4" tall x 5/8" wide of 30 mm x 16 mm. The jadeite cabs are 12mm x 9mm. Both cufflinks are in pristine perfect condition with no imperfections or signs of wear. The Jadeite cabs are flawless with no chips, scratches, or scuffs. There is no gold wear anywhere and the cufflinks are microscopically clean all around.Comes shipped in a new luxury presentation cufflink box as pictured.
