Made in the 1960s, these unique rainbow glass seed bead chandelier earrings were a popular American Indian hand made design that is rare to find today. In the 1960s, seed bead jewelry from American Indian Reservations was often found in tourist gift shops around the US. Jewelry making was always one of the ways American Indian reservations made money for the reservation. Take a close look at the striking design and craftsmanship: a hand sewn button on the ear post, a beaded bell cap at the top, and looped beaded dangles with the rainbow colors at top and bottom of the loops.

The earrings are clips and the clips are signed Hong Kong, but don't let that fool you. The earrings were not made in Hong Kong; just the clips were made there. In the 1960s, the bulk of clips for earring crafts were imported from Hong Kong and sold through catalogs like Sears and Woolworths.

Light weight to wear, the earrings are 3 1/4" or 83 mm long. I've had these earrings safely stashed away for many decades. The earrings have never been worn and the pair is in pristine clean like new condition with no imperfections or flaws.

Comes gift wrapped and shipped in a new luxury presentation earring box.
