This old school carnelian gemstone necklace features russet orange and deep coral pink hues gems from the 1960s. This type of fine quality Carnelian also has a tortoise look and it is very translucent. Light can pass through the beads and they appear to glow from within. The necklace is mostly made of oval beads each about 3/8" long. The beads are not all perfectly oval or round or uniform as they are natural pieces. 
 
The center area has four long diamond or navette carved beads, each 1" long. The necklace is strung on heavy duty wire and has the original 1960s gold metal filigree box clasp. The necklace is 20" long and all of the beads are in excellent glossy condition with no cracks or missing beads.
