This carved yellow rose Lucite pin is a very uncommon design!
 
The pin dates from the 1950-1960 era. The background is deep blue while the roses are bright yellow. The roses are reverse carved inside the back of the clear Lucite. The thick clear Lucite is a molded domed rod with angled cuts on the top and bottom. The back is white celluloid. There are also three small carved leaves brown and green in color. 
 
Unsigned, the pin measures 1 1/2" tall x 7/8" wide or 3.5 cm x 2 cm. 
 
It is next to impossible to find vintage carved Lucite that is in like new condition. This pin is in exceptional condition for age. It is very clean and like new both front and back. Only if you look at it under a loupe might you be able to detect scant and minor microscopic hints of handling. There are some tiny clear lines on the inside of the Lucite from when the pin was made.

There are no scratches on the exterior. There are no scratches or chips or anything that impairs the beauty of the piece. There is a tiny drilled hole in the bottom where a brass screw pin was inserted to finish the pin. The back has the original fine working safety clasp.
