You could call this gorgeous vintage 1960s cultured pearl pin a leaf pin, but it was made in the shape of a heart and it is called a heart pin. It was originally made as a special occasion sweetheart gift for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, graduations and Valentines day. 
 
The pearls are excellent quality lustrous cultured pearls in bright white. The pearls are 3.5 mm in size. The center has a diamond pattern of prong set brilliant Austrian crystals. The pin is beaded yellow gold metal and the frame is a cross hatch pattern.
 
This is a medium to large design and the pin has a high dome. The pin measures about 2 1/4" tall x 1 1/2" wide. 
 
The entire piece is in pristine perfectly clean condition. The pearls and rhinestones are all perfect and dazzling and there is no loss of gold or signs of wear. The pin is not signed and the back has the original fine working safety clasp.
