Made in the 1950-1960 era and designer signed ART, this vintage butterfly brooch is a spring or summer pastel delight. What I admire about this butterfly, besides the fact that ART was one of my favorite butterfly pin designers, are the pastel moonstones. The brooch doesn't just have pastel rhinestones but it also has pastel moonstone cabs and milk glass cabs.

The butterfly is made of textured gold metal and the butterfly is an open work design with glossy white enamel. The rhinestones are arranged in flower designs on the wings and the pointed wing tips are serrated. 

Medium large in size, the butterfly is 1 3/4" tall x 2" wide or 44 mm x 51 mm. The entire brooch both front and back is in super pristine clean condition with no imperfections or flaws. All of the rhinestones and moonstones are original, present, and sparkling. There is no enamel wear or loss of enamel. There is no gold wear with the exception of some light wear on the back, on the fastener finding (hardly worth noting). The back has the original fine working safety clasp and the ART © cartouche.
