This early 1970s bird basket is made of bamboo and rattan that has rich honey gold tones. The beak is wood and the eyes are glass. The top of the bird or the lid fits the base perfectly. 

This basket retains the original Made in The People's Republic of China red and white paper label from the the early 1970s. This is an early import item right after Nixon released the ban on imports from China in 1972. It is a very uncommon basket to find, especially with the original label. 

The basket is in excellent clean like new condition with no imperfections or flaws. The bird measures 8 1/2" long x 5 1/2" wide.
