This large scalloped French Limoge plate bears both red and green Delinieres marks that date the plate from 1881-1900.

I admire this plate because it is one of the few scalloped rim plates, also with raised molded scallops on the rim, made by Delinieres. I believe the floral motif is a cabbage rose design in light and dark pink, lavender, and light Wedgewood blue. The bottom area has a large bold lattice and scroll design in 24kt gold. There are leaf designs at the top sides in 24kt gold and the perimeter of the plate is trimmed in gold as well.

The plate is not flat; slightly bowl shaped and is 8 1/2" or 21.6 cm wide. The entire plate is in superb condition for age. The front and back retain the high gloss shine with no scratches or scuffs. There are no chips, cracks, or repairs. There is some light gold wear on the rim from handling over the past 100+ years, hardly worth noting.
